Arthritis In Dog
Question about Dog Arthritis?
My dog is 12 yrs old, and I've noticed that she's been having a hard time in the mornings, you can tell she's getting very stiff because it takes her an hour or so to be able to walk semi-normal. I think she has arthritis, because from researching it, she's been having a lot of the symptoms.
I made an appt for her tomorrow @ the vet and I told my family about it, they said they think it's a stupid idea because she'll just be put on meds that she'll have to be on for the rest of her life.
I'm taking her because although it's not curable, I want her to be okay with the pain. Do you think it's stupid I'm taking her?
The medications that they will provide will be used to make her more comfortable on a daily basis and yes, she will require them for the duration of her life if the issue at hand is arthritis. Considering that the dog has given you twelve solid years of love and devotion, I consider the gift of comfort, free from debilitating pain a small one.
