Glucosamine dosage for small dogs?

I have a chihuahua cross Pomeranian, she's 14-15 years old and she has artritis and i've read alot about the benefits of giving dogs glucosamine, even the human glucosamine. She's about 4-5 lbs (about 2 kilos) and i was just wondering how much i should give her? I read somewhere that your supposed to give them double the dose for a while, some people have said for the first 7 days and others have said for the first 2 months....I just want to reduce her pain and make her more comfortable so that she can move around more easily.

A large dog (60-70 lbs.) needs approximately:

* 2,000 milligrams of glucosamine per day, divided into morning and evening doses.
* 1,500 - 2,000 milligrams of MSM per day, divided into morning and evening doses
* 1,500 - 2,000 milligrams of Omega 3 fatty acids per day

Dogs half as large get half as much; dogs twice as large get twice as much. With these particular supplements, when in doubt give more rather than less.
