if a Dog Has Arthritis,?

what can make him feel better if you won't take him to the vet.
i have a min pin at my dad's house, and i only go there every other weekend.
and my dog wil be 8 years old in november. his names Max. :)
and he has arthritis in his back left leg. and my dad won't take him to the vet because of money. what can help my dog feel better? it's really sad seeing him hop around the house and limp and stuff. he's usually a really happy dog, and he still tries to be happy and he's such a sweetheart. i can't stand watching him in pain. its mainly whenever he gets up, like from laying on his leg is whenever he starts hopping around. and then he's fine for a while but its really sensitive. i really want to help him.

my dad loves my dog, it's that we don't have a whole lot of money over there and he's trying to work to get more money. i've been trying to get him to take max to the vet, but it's not that my dad doesn't love max.

Glucosamine is great for arthritis but you have to be sure your dog is suffering from arthritis and not something else. It could be that he pulled a ligament or something or more serious.
Explain your financial situation to the vet - they might be able to help. It's not the dog's fault you don't have enough money, yet he is the one suffering :(
